“The superior doctor prevents illness, the mediocre doctors treats impending illness, the inferior doctor treats illness .” — Chinese Proverb
Are you looking for acupuncture therapy that integrates mind, body and spirit? Do you want your acupuncturist to treat the root of disease as well as give you symptom relief?
Our treatments help your body become healthier now and prevent disease in the future. We create personalized wellness programs that work for you. Call us today to schedule an appointment, or for a free 15-minute consultation. Our acupuncturists are trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which encompasses acupuncture, acupressure/tui na (Chinese massage), cupping, food therapy, moxibustion (warming of acupuncture points) and Chinese herbal medicine. Part of the quality education that our practitioners receive focuses on the art of diagnosis and treatment based on observation. This is done primarily through taking the pulse and looking at the tongue to assess internal patterns. For the practitioner, the name of a disease is of less importance; it is the diagnosis of the condition in terms of qi, blood, yin and yang that is primary.
While modern science is just beginning to prove the effectiveness of TCM, it is backed by over 3,000 years of anecdotal evidence. In most cases, our patients do not reject Western medicine or conventional medical doctors. Instead they choose to explore a more complete and encompassing view of their bodies by integrating TCM. We aim to provide access to optimum health rather than just the absence of illness.
We offer holistic, individualized acupuncture treatments ranging from 1.5 hour first appointments to ½ hour mini treatments. Follow up visits are generally 1 hour. Most conditions are treated with a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. This is especially important with chronic conditions.
