My approach to bodywork is simple, yet I invite complexity as well. It is my intention to give bodies time to unravel and soften with my calm, gentle hands. I welcome bodies of all shapes and colors with recogition of the strength, capability, and resiliency of all body types.
My personal journey with massage and bodywork began following medical trauma. The process of recovery, with the support of bodywork professionals and dance, enabled me to learn how I could reconnect to my body and thereby heal my own self. This led me to become a dance/movement therapist and yoga teacher, and that background influences my approach as a massage therapist.
I am a graduate from Discovery Point School of Massage and enjoy working with clients that are looking to expand their body knowledge whilst receiving recuperative work to balance their nervous system. I also integrate passive movement and rocking with guided breath awareness as needed.
I value and appreciate bodies just as they are and welcome process of release and inner listening for my clients. As a practitioner, I create a comforting space and check-in through communication to develop safety and rapport; it is my intention to empower my clients to participate in the massage experience.
